Current 75K and have not selected benefits yet. Was planning to after July 1st for extended eUP expiry.
New job and 99% sure I will not have any status next year.
I have a booking next year (March) for wife and I. Will be going HND-YYZ in PY (lowest, AP Reward)
When I select benefits and have my new 35 Eups with extended expiry, I should be able to apply them to that flight and be wait-listed.
Now when I no longer have status at time of travel, will that upgrade request stay valid?
If it does, according to upgrade priority, I will have zero status and therefore zero priority vs status members, but being in PY puts me ahead of everyone in Y so there's a chance...
Is my interpretation valid here?

Edit: Just saw that someone with zero status are only allowed to upgrade PY Flex and Latitude fares. However in my case I am requesting upgrade while I still have status.
