- Name of the hotel: Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre
- What is your ALL status? Gold
- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? standard Double, ugraded to Priveledge Double with city view.
- How are the rooms? not the largest but more than adequate for a few days on business. wardrobe organisation a bit unusual, but enough for a few shirts. Bathrobes, coffee machine, minibar (with alcohol), good desk for working, nice view of the city and sunrise/sunset from the 8F. The Hotel is a kind of Octogan shape so each room is a segment of that octogon. Bathroom is a bit small in the pointy end of the room but just about works.
- What was good and what was bad?
Bad: shower was a little weak and temperature almost stable although a couple of times it got very hot for a few secs.
Car park access across the bi-direction bus lanes and cycle paths is quite a challenge of timing.
As a first world problem, the local beers they used to have on tap have now gone, repalced by mass produced products.
Good:
quiet although directly above the station. Friendly, booths in ublic areas if you need to work/meet.
- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? N/A
- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? drink voucher ready and prepared. room upgrade as above, G+T Mocktail.
- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? Yes, While it's our preferred business hotel in the area and we have a corporate rate i still would. Nothing spectacular about it but would still chose it anyway despite being encouraged to, i think it's got a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
phone camera makes it look bigger than it is.
