Looking for real experiences booking for Jan 2025 travel for daughter.

The revised rules appear that basic economy award tickets incur a fee if canceled. Prior reports state this wasn't true. How about recent ones since the posted revision in March?

Anyone charged a redeposit/cancel fee for international basic economy flights?
