Quite safe? Relative to what? Definitely safer than other parts of the city. But as someone who is obviously non-African I would not feel comfortable walking around town, even more so at night.
The specific areas I mentioned are safe, IMO, relative to most places. There are dangerous parts of most major cities. I'm very obviously not African as well, and I didn't feel any issues there. Other areas in Lagos are decidedly less safe.
