Thanks, info helps. My connection is in LAS and they have the latest flights leaving to the West coast for the right price.

I recalled for some reason, NW had elite upgrades but have noticed their cost cutting measures included severing all partnerships. Since I want to requalify for BA Gold, maybe I will get more tier points to make up for the measly 25% miles.

First class is available one way for $654, about 5x the price.
