IC Warsaw
Here yet again, 3rd time, as a Diamond Ambassador on points with an Annual Lounge Pass. The 4 night stay was a total of only 84k points with the 4th night free, so about 20k per night. Did not even try a Confirmed Upgrade Certificate due to prior experience and being happy with the usual upgraded room.
We just really, really like this place. Reading my two prior reviews, again, very little has changed.
Check in was reasonably smooth but just seems to have too many steps to deal with the too many small IC benefits. There is a 90 pln f&b IC perk. Then there is a coupon for 55 pln in lieu of a room gift. Then I have to remind her about the lounge access pass. At least she can “see” it on her computer and I do not have to “prove” it.
We reserved the base Classic room, and for the third time got a nice up grade to a corner view room. Always the same room type. ..and ended in 08 as both times before. Maybe the very same room.
The lounge is my favorite. Casual, plenty of up beat happy staff, excellent drinks, great local beers, fabulous desserts at Tea Time, and really fancy hot and cold apps at happy hour. Where else do you get crispy sturgeon with a quail’s egg and caviar on top? I really think that the food in the lounge is better than last time. It is also much better than the pictures presented above by others in the past. All very classy but again in a friendly, casual interpersonal manner.
Breakfast was excellent in the lounge, but never tried downstairs.
My wife went up to the pool each day but said it got busy at times.
Our last visit was in December and cold. The weather here in May is perfect. Warm and dry and sunny.
We had a great steak at Steak and Peppers, about 3 blocks to the south. Great service as well as food.
The two restaurants in the hotel are very good but a little expensive. The Downtown main restaurant does not have a lunch menu. Food was very good. Plus, I had to burn the 90 pln, and the 55 pln, and some expiring $20 f&b certificates. You have to be an accountant to eat at an IC.
Again, we love this hotel.
