I guess your travel plans are really, really flexible. 60K in AA J transpacific is a bargain relative to, for example, a US domestic flight for +/- 30K, and definitely a serious contender to AA's "everyday low pricing" of 450K miles. I wouldn't pay for AA J if JL available for similar pricing, miles or cash. But for 60K miles and availability, I'll hold my nose.
