I have booked two separate tickets with TK: from HKG to IST and then IST to HAM. The flight from Hong Kong typically lands at 0500, although the scheduled arrival time is 0515.

For the Istanbul to Hamburg leg, I have two flight options: one departing at 0700 and another at 1130. To ensure flexibility, I opted for the 1130 flight with the PrimeFly option, which allows me to switch to the earlier flight for free on the same day if needed.

Here’s my question: If I check my baggage through to Hamburg on the 1130 flight at Hong Kong, and then find upon arrival in Istanbul that I have sufficient time to catch the 0700 flight, can I go to the transfer desk to request both my seat and baggage be transferred to the earlier flight?

Alternatively, is my only option to check my baggage only to Istanbul, then clear immigration (and potentially pay for a visa), and rebook my onward flight to Hamburg at the departure hall?
