Looking for HELP to use an American Airlines systemwide upgrade code that I recieved from Alaska Airlines in April.
I would like to use it for my wife, who I have three flights left to book for the year, all on specific dates of course.....
Obviously, the direct routes I'm looking at have no upgrade space avaliable. So I'm here looking for a repositioning that I may have not thought of. Any ideas are appriciated.
First, 7/28/24 IST-DFW - Would prefer only one layover, or will just book the Turkish direct flight.
Second, 9/23/24 DFW-FLR - Have seems like the direct DFW-FCO-FLR is the no brainer, but I haven't found another good repositioning route with upgrade space available.
Third, 9/30/24 FLR-DFW - The return of above.
I don't fly to Europe, so I'm sure I could be missing a good route, but I also don't have a lot of hope that AA will have any upgrade space for these dates.
May try to squeeze in a South America trip this winter and try to use it on that, if I can't use it by then.
I have an alert in Expert Flyer set for a few of these routes in the rare hope that an upgrade seat opens up.
