Pie in English is quite a liberal word. Indeed it looks like a shepherds pie, but the major error here is
shepherds don't herd pigs (the clue's in the name
). Thus it would be better called a cottage pie, but then that's typically made with beef (because every cottage has a herd of cows?!).
