Update 1: Checked in today online and....most of you are right. There was not any issue at all. TSA PreCheck worked just fine, too. I was able to get the boarding passes online as well. Whether it's in SFO, TPE, or SIN, nobody even had a power trip about it.

Update 2: In fact, instead of Starlux, the one airline who nearly caused an issue about this was Scoot at Changi T1. They did warn me that my names do not match (I use the kiosk as Scoot mainly uses kiosk at Changi) and I thought the check in failed, but the machine simply autocorrected my information and asked me to "agree that you will proceed under your passport name". The boarding pass, however, printed my first and last name only. Not even one person said a thing.
