Decent stay overall
Had a good stay - with a free night certificate. It would cost $450 otherwise which is insane. Rooms are bland but clean, pool is nicely heated, breakfast was above average overall.
We had a strange experience with early checkin. I had "reserved" a noon checkin time and I am a Globalist. At 11:45 am the app said "your room is ready, please visit the frontdesk". We got there around 1pm and the valet immediately wanted to shoe me away saying "you can't checkin yet". That was weird. I told them but it says my rooms is ready. I got inside wanting to check-in and wothour asking name or anything I get the "we have no rooms you can't checkin" welcome. I always love that when they bark at you without even checking who you are, what you want or anything. So i told them, are you sure, can you please checkin because I was notified via the app that my room is ready. Showed them my app, they just shrugged and said "we have no idea" because we got no rooms, comr back at 3pm. Listen,.I am not the type of "do you know I am xyz status" but come on - the apo showed they aren't sold out, every single room type was available. At Hyatt Place/House they really don't care about your Hyatt status at all - they treat a Globalist like a non-member.
Also didn't get any waters.from the front desk.
Other than that, everything was nice. But cash prices are insane. Who pays 400-500 a night for a Hyatt place?
