Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? We booked the cheapest entry level (cosy) using my last credit card free night voucher and were upgraded five levels to a Mayfair floor king classic.

How are the rooms? My goodness, what a difference a spot of refurbishment makes. Enough said!

How is the exec. lounge? No crowds or screaming kids, it was bliss. We had time for afternoon tea on both days plus breakfast and happy hour. As somebody has pointed out in the lounge/champagne thread Pommery is no more, it is now Moët. I tried a snifter but it was rather gassy. I had a nice glass of Picpoul instead.

What was good and what was bad? Good - decent upgrade to a larger refurbished room. We were welcomed back by the receptionist. Received points plus welcome drinks, we chose cocktails, as our Diamond amenity. Late check out proactively offered. Stocked minibar. The in room welcome gift was a box of chocolates with a birthday cake and hand written card. We both had a wonderful time in the spa. My son had a 40 minute chair massage followed by a hands on aromatherapy treatment. I just had the chair massage as no therapists were available. When we checked out I had a moan about the change in champagne and the lack of a bath and was given 10,000 points.
Bad - the check in colleague couldn’t see my free two year lounge pass so I was asked for evidence. No bath in the Mayfair floor bathroom, that is the only benefit of the old style rooms.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Our stay was FOC. Well, it cost us £17.31 which was my credit card annual fee less the pro rata refund when the card was withdrawn. RIP Creation. Advertised room rate was £669.
