On my return flight I'm booked in Business (P) connecting from AUH First (A) but I won't have AS or AM lounge access due to the P fare. I will however have access to the Gold South Lounge and the Gold & Platinum North Lounge as I'm OWE. Is there any pattern for AUH flights and other short hauls departing/arriving from the North or South gates or is it generally any gate is possible?
You'll be able to get into the Platinum lounge by the A gates. It's quite a lot nicer than the Gold one downstairs.
I know conventional wisdom is that P class restrictions infect the F/A class privileges you might expect from your short-haul sector. My single experience of this was quite different. Most likely that was a system glitch, but if you want to get into Safwa and are sufficiently thick-skinned to risk rejection, there's no harm in trying.
