Flying MAD-LHR tomorrow evening before having a short overnight layover. My schedule tomorrow afternoon changed a bit, so I'd like to get into London a bit earlier. There is a BA flight leaving Madrid an hour before my flight. Twitter said my fare class doesn't allow same day changes, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with going to the airport and just asking to get on the earlier flight. I'm OW Emerald, for what it's worth.
Thanks!
if your ticket is mad lhr xxx then it does not include free same day changes
Assuming you have not purchased a flexible ticket, Going to the airport and asking is unlikely to be successful unless therevare delays or flight care overbooked.
You can ask, but expect the answer to be 'you need to pay'
Ba (and other european carriers) do not like giving flexibility on non flex tickets, it under values the flex tickets that you could have purchsed
