Hi all,
Hope it’s fine to resurrect an old thread. Just wanted to clarify something as I’ve possibly been given the wrong advice. We are flying LAX-JFK (on AA), then on BA to LHR, overnight connection on to Oslo (also BA). All one ticket. I asked the check-in agent if the bags could only be checked through to London because of the overnight stay. She insisted it absolutely had to be tagged to OSL, however we would have to collect the bags in London anyway. I don’t think this is right and said that I thought BA (or Heathrow, either way) kept the bags because it’s under 24 hours. Am I correct in thinking this? Once we’re on the JFK flight tomorrow I might see if I can seek out some help onboard to get the bags offloaded properly at Heathrow, and worse case I will ask the baggage desk for help when we land - but I guess that will be quite a long wait?
Many thanks.
