I appreciate your answer, but I respectfully disagree.
If you have many MR points, which airlines would you choose to transfer them to? What if you prefer a different airline later, or if there are future promotions, like a 30% transfer bonus?

This might seem straightforward to you, but I believe it's not so simple for many people.

Keeping points in MR provides the flexibility to transfer to numerous partners (with occasional promotions) as needed.

I just want to ask few simple questions for those who have experience.
- In the event of an involuntary closure, will Amex forfeit all points, or will they allow users to use their points within a certain period?
- Does this include the sign-up bonus for cards that were opened less than a year ago?

If all points, including the sign-up bonus from cards less than one year old, can be transferred out after an involuntary closure, why would anyone transfer them beforehand given the uncertainty of such a closure occurring?
