OP, are you paid or award?

Perhaps I;ve gotten crusty over the years, but I would not arrange my travel these days based on lounge access. Sure, Polaris is nice…. But I’d rather arrive with the smoothest connection possible. I’d also consider flying the best aircraft.

If you are on a paid ticket, the sky’s the limit for your connections.

Consider going CDG-FRA-IAH on LH and enjoy the 747.

If you prefer the Polaris seat, take the UA flight FRA-IAH instead.
