Review of my stay in May 2024
What is your IHG One Rewards status?
Diamond Royal Ambassador Inner Circle
- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, I enjoyed very much this property..
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Premium Room and was upgraded to One King Regent Club High floor City View
- How are the rooms?
Around 60 sqm large.
Elegant 30s style, with macassar lacquered furniture.
Seating area, desk.
Very comfortable bed.
Bathroom with bathtub and separate walk-in shower/toilets. Eau de Magnolia Éditions de Parfums Frédéric Malle (I love this brand created by Frederic Malle, who was my neighbour when he lived in Paris)..
Nespresso coffee machine.
Free minibar
Flat screen television set with basic selection of international channels. No Chromecast.
Very quiet.
View over the city and the Forbidden City..
Usb sockets close to the bed
No free PressReader.
- How is the exec. lounge?
Elegant and cosy atmosphere..
Excellent breakfast with à la carte menu.
Afternoon tea with delicious pastries
Light evening buffet featuring signature creations of the on-site restaurants and a bar station
.
Club access also gives some specific benefits:
Complimentary local phone calls from the room
Complimentary pressing of two garments per day
Use of Regent Club meeting rooms for two hours per day
Workstations with printer
- What was good and what was bad?
GOOD
Warm welcome by Guests experience manager
Very convenient to visit the area around the Forbidden City
Very pleasant club lounge with attentive service and elegant atmosphere .
Excellent breakfast at main restaurant
Superb spa with impressive - largest private one in Beijing -
25-meter indoor swimming pool
(love the quiet atmosphere of the spa area thanks to a brillant architecture with subdued light and birds chirping).
Simply love the secret superb garden of the spa, a true real luxury in a noisy and busy city (which is the privilege of only a few hotels, such as the Bvlgari Beijing): in the morning, you can lie back on a deckchair in the sunshine and read a book in the midst of nature, in a rare calm.
BAD
Nothing.
- Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?
The hotel is great to experience a peaceful and elegant stay in Beijing. Service is attentive and professional (but most member of staff surprisingly speak very poorly English).
