Shh, don't tell anyone as this is a BA group, but QR is massively better -- their J is better (in most ways) than old BA First. So take a look there.

For monetary savings, consider
- QR from OSL with BA positioning flight (perhaps on Avios, there is often plenty of availability)
- AY from HEL with BA positioning flight - that's our preferred route to Japan now
- a round-the-world fare (fare type DONE4) starting in OSL with a positioning flight, returning via the US -- that's now how we go to Oz because the base fare can be 40% less than point-to-point LHR-SYD-LHR and you can take up to 16 stops. We've just returned from a trip where we popped up to Cairns for lunch; and made a bunch of stops in the US.
