The other things they offered, however, were fine, but overall I felt they focused on some items a lot more than others.

I'd still stay here any day of the week if we can get a shot at some of those suites, and overall I was pleased to see them emphasizing "best room available" which I think many US-based Hyatts really skimp on, and I like the fact that they are making an effort to provide club-like amenities, like the $15 voucher and the evening food (even if it's paltry that's better than the nothing that you get at most US-based club lounges). I should note something similar happened to me at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara - no club lounge but they gave me a voucher for one item from the menu at the restaurant (to use any time, I didn't end up using it because I had a busy day), PLUS the breakfast (which I also didn't get to try, for the same reason). I feel like Hyatt is making an effort at the Bay Area Regency hotels at least. Curious if the Embarcadero Regency is also emphasizing "best room available" because I have never gotten a suite upgrade at that hotel in the past.
Have not stayed at the Kissel. The HC Mountain View and HR Santa Clara breakfast offer is items off a menu with a price cap on them. Far more limiting than the buffet that the HR SOMA has. And I think the HR SOMA buffet has a wide variety of items.

The “Globalist” menu at the HR Santa Clara for evenings seems to have been “simplified” - but the flatbread/pizza was pretty good.
