I too live in CC and regularly travel to JFK for lower TATL fares and better SWU upgrade chances. I’d love to see XLRs doing some LAX runs in down time, but I doubt AA will ever make PHL-LAX (or SFO) a premium route.

For the moment, gone are the days when, after summer season, the EU widebodies landing at PHL would make a trek to LAX/SFO. SFO is out of the picture until T1 is upgraded to have AA widebodies.

I'm currently here in PHL and lament, like other have, how the luxury experience doesn't come our way for west coast PHL bound folks. I tend to go to JFK and just take Amtrak/car rentals to see client in the NYC/NJ/PHL metro areas. But this time I was strictly in PHL and just didn't want to deal with JFK - PHL driving or Amtrak.

Guessing I won't see the inside of the FFL at PHL for a while as I rarely am passing this way to go to EU. I am able to go to EU nonstop from the west coast either from SFO or LAX on AA. And if I want FFL, LAX is where I have to go. No way in the world am I ever expecting a FFL at SFO. We're not worthy!
