While I did get a globalist upgrade to a spacious 62 sqm 1 King studio, the lounge breakfast at HR Sha Tin is the worst one I've seen in a while and where I didn't like the quality of any item and actually did not eat anything. I guess for kids it's ok with lots of cheap sweet carbs like muffins, donuts, bread.
They do not allow globalists to go to the main restaurant for breakfast.
Ordered egg Florentine and who knows what was on the egg, it was tasteless white cream, not a hollandaise sauce that the waiter confirmed prior to ordering.
The menu seems to change daily, the next day the egg florentine was not on it.

They are on a mission to avoid plastic at this property. There are no water bottles in the rooms, there is a filtered water machine instead.
Lounge staff explicitly said that it's ok to take San Pellegrino glass bottles and soft drink cans from the lounge to the room, so that is a plus.
During check-in in the lounge I was shown a laminated A4 page with prices for amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste etc.

Happy hour in the lounge has a few more items, nothing overwhelming but it's possible to put a reasonably healthy plate together.

The location is a bit far from the center. The MRT (University Station on the light blue line) is an option and the station is next to the Hotel. Sat down in a First Class carriage from the city without realizing it until well into the trip. Thankfully that went unnoticed otherwise the fine might have been 1000 HKD according to warning signs.
Uber to or from Kowloon costs between 200-300 HKD / 25-35 USD per trip depending on the time of the day and takes around 40-50 minutes.

Pharmacopia amenities come in large plastic bottles including the body lotion. Worth to note as I find many Hyatt properties that have the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in large bottles seem to put a small bottle of body lotion somewhere and replace it if needed or there is none at all.
