The 321Ts are going to refurbed to a standard 321 196 seat layout. No more flatbeds. That won’t happen until the 321XLRs arrive, but the 321Ts will be losing their flatbeds.
I too live in CC and regularly travel to JFK for lower TATL fares and better SWU upgrade chances. I’d love to see XLRs doing some LAX runs in down time, but I doubt AA will ever make PHL-LAX (or SFO) a premium route.
