The flight has gone tech. Passengers sat on plane for 3.5 hours and were told "the entertainment system is not working" which needed fixing (which sounds highly suspicious). The flight finally got cancelled. Everyone lining up at immigration now and are told that they would get an email from CX on alternative flight arrangements.

No insider info - but I’m sitting at JFK and just watched the flight take off - and saw on Flight Aware that it’s being redirected from HKG to KIX. Picking up passengers perhaps?
