Finally got my 6-digit KE PNR. My wife had to call them. Probably helped that my wife is Korean.
I still can't select/change seats on the Korean Air website. I get this message:
"Please log in with the user ID of the passenger OR the reservation holder before you proceed. If you have not updated the SKYPASS membership number on your reservation, please update the SKYPASS membership number first and then proceed."
I can change seats on Delta.com.
The issue is likely that DL has not put your e-mail address on the record. If your e-mail address is on the record, KE site will let you authenticate by sending you an e-mail code, and then you can view and change seats, FFN, etc. Without an e-mail on the record, if you don't have a KE FFN, then indeed you are blocked from changing (or even seeing) your seat assignment.
