I can confirm no upgrade from J -> F is offered at OLCI.

I asked for one at the check-in desk for SIN - TPE. They seemed baffled and couldn't immediately quote me a figure. I didn't wait around for an answer.

Once at the T2 lounge in TPE, I asked for one TPE - LAX (longhaul) and they quoted me USD$5K with no first class catering, as there were no other pax pre-booked in F. I sat in 2A and got to really inspect 1A pretty thoroughly. The seat is only marginally better in that it has more foot room due to the bulkhead configuration. Width appears to be the same. The additional privacy of the taller suite walls is offset by the laughably miniature doors JX installed in the premium cabins. F&B is a step up, as is the very personalized service (I believe the 4 F pax have 1 dedicated FA). All that said, I don't personally see the incremental value in F over J on Starlux. It's definitely not like the AF, EK, or SQ level of experience.
