It's also surprising to me ( as well as the above ). When I had a trip to Australia in J with a 14 day min stay requirement and had to return to England the next day, BA and Qantas were amazing in their assistance to the extent that QF actually sent me on one of their planes since it arrived into LHR 30 mins ahead of BA ( even tho it wa sa BA only ticket )
"If I were you I'd complain, I know rules are rules etc... bla bla but surely someone at BA should have been found willing to help..."
It's a bit hard to really complain if they just followed the rules but it does seem poor of them. Perhaps it just depends on who you speak to and I was just lucky. At least I would expect the miles back ( unless the remaining part of the ticket can still be used another day )
