As explained upthread, those to whom the Marriott Bevy AmEx card has most value are those who frequently stay at Marriott properties, and for whom the $15K spend is trivial, to earn a 50K-point free night award (FNA) certificate.
Quite so. Plus, for those of us with a fairly large number of short & inexpensive stays, the 1,000 point bonus per stay is appealing. I also like the extra two points for dining & grocery spend (one extra for dining if we are comparing with the Brilliant). Unfortunately, as a Canadian, I cannot get this card unless I sacrifice the Brilliant which I am not inclined to do since those 85k FNCs are really nice.
