Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? It was fine for a quick night in Paris.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked the cheapest entry level and was upgraded to a Marina view suite with a balcony on the top floor, (five level upgrade).
How are the rooms? New and modern. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Fridge, desk/chair, table/stool. Shower room with Urban Skincare amenities, usually seen in HI. Wraparound balcony on two sides of the room with chairs and a coffee table. Kettle with instant coffee and tea bags.
How is the exec. lounge? NA
What was good and what was bad? Good - two stops from Gare du Nord. I walked back there in the morning, took 20 minutes. Decent glass of red as a welcome drink. Good upgrade. The bread at breakfast was lovely. No Mother’s Pride plastic loaves here.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? €136 which was the lowest cost IHG hotel in the wider area. I’m still hunting for a replacement for HI Gare de L’Est for those early morning Eurostar departures back to Blighty. This one might be just the ticket.
