For what it's worth, the 80s pier has been under construction for years, but the meantime is likely a matter of weeks. I suspect it might open this month.
Hopefully that walk has been ridiculous even if “temporary.” Ruins the new terminal experience if your flight is getting sent out of one of those gates with the long walk.
