I gave passes to my in-laws to use for the UA Club at DEN A for their LH flight. No problems.

You should be able to find one-time passes on eBay for roughly half the price (even less), especially with close-in expiration dates. I have bought maybe 40 passes over the past eight years, and I've only had an issue once (and promptly refunded).
