Thank you garney89 for setting our expectations low. But we had a very contrasting experience.
To start, I dealt with Lille prior to the trip to organize check in and transportation for 26 guests. Responses were slow and ultimately followed garney89's footsteps with Wong Transportation (great team and highly recommended). Upon arrival we had no issues checking in (around 4pm/5pm) even though we were a large group. Sparkling wine offered upon arrival. Lille was very friendly and came out to introduce herself when she realized I had been the one contacting her. We needed some additional transportation needs and she arranged it last minute for us (it was cheap but not the greatest).
Rooms were nice and spacious but we had issues with our room. They key/lock would not work, maintenance came to fix multiple times before it was reliably working. TVs were surprisingly small and although the room had a weird layout, it wasn't a hinderance. Decided to skip the spa experience due to the lack of amenities garney discussed. The pool wasn't bad the times we went out. It was smaller but not as dirty as we were expecting it to be. The location is nice but the views aren't the best. Very close to Azahar (amazing food and views). Market is close by and felt safe walking in the area.
Overall, this is a good value for a WA and in the city. I probably wouldn't stay here again because I rather experience staying in Casco Viejo, but if I had to stay in the city i would still consider this property again.
