Your wife is a victim? What's the crime? Both you and your wife are nothing but delusional. Check with the president of Moldova or the head of Transnistria. Maybe they can help you..
She isn't a victim? please explain that.

Did she get delivered to her destination? NO.
Did she get compensated for the delay{s) caused by the airlines? NO.
Was she offered a hotel room, although over night? NO
So yes she is a victim. Is it technically a crime? No, it is bad service, or numerous violations of law(violations are less than crimes usually)Bad service that caused her to lose time/money.

However, charging her for a ticket to get out of the country when she already had a spot on that plane is actually a financial crime. They refused to let her on any flight even though she had a legal boarding pass and forced her under duress to buy another ticket, with threats that she wouldn't be allowed to leave otherwise. By doing so they incorrectly exhorted additional money out of her. She had no choice.
If they gave her seat up because of overbooking, that isn't the crime. But charging her for the replacement is/was, if you want to get technical.

Are you saying she isn't entitled to any of that? Apparently, your more experienced co posters here disagree with you here and Turkey/EU regulations disagree with you as well. But the problem is getting them to pay..

"Probably that's why you are retired as the voices in your head are somehow disturbing to others."
Didn't know personal attacks are allowed here, but don't we retire because we earn it doing a job guys like you could NEVER do?

DELUSIONAL: based on or having faulty judgment; mistaken..
Based on the definition you are apparently incorrect. NO ONE here except you , thinks my wife is at fault, which helps us determine that you are perhaps the delusional one. All of them admit the airlines are/were wrong, the only dispute among experienced posters is the degree of responsibility that individual airlines have in this case because of apparent complexities. They both have a degree of responsibility, no one argues against that. But is LOT or TK more culpable? That is where we are at now, please get with the program.
BTW LOT admits what happened is wrong deserving of compensation: they just think it is TK that is responsible. TK just blames the passengers. They deny reality that their own flight was delayed(actually the other flight as well). In their book if the planes are not delayed than the passenger is guilty of being late, so denying reality works for them. Being delusional saves them money!

"NYC airports are the shittest and saddest."
Your opinion, you have a right to it, but they actually have GOOD customer service. Everybody from the security, Customs, people at the counters, and even the guys standing at pickup/drop off. I saw plenty of passengers asking questions and being directed to right locations. Port Authority cops are also very approachable. So one has to define why they consider an airport sad in the 1st place. Is it because of late flights due to airport not airline? is it because the airport vendors are low quality? Please define it. But since the main jobs of airports are to be a place for arrivals/departures, an airport being sad should have to be mainly because of a failure in doing that function. JFK being a very large airport is going to have delays, that can't be helped. So what is important is how the workers at the airport have a system to help the passengers so they can arrive and depart.

Btw I am not talking about LaGuardia, I haven't been there since I was 5, and they did have a bad reputation but many can just get JETBLUE at JFK for domestic operations so a moot point for many.
