To add:
What I miss most compared to my last trip to the Maldives when the Hilton (not the Amigiri) existed are
- daily (complimentary) activities - at this place, it's quite "boring"
- would have been nice to have a possibility to know how the island operates
- during low season, special promotions or prices for some of the activities.
- I know it's an upscale resort, but the prices are quite eye-watering for the value, during the current low season, why not have some special promotions instead of havving staff walking/doing nothing.

On the other hand, I really do wonder how the Maldives in general is handling these increase in tourism from nature protection point of view. The housereef at this resort is still 99% dead.. although yes, you do see the usual reef fishes, but from coral point of view, 99% is bleached ( not sure if this still is the recovery process from the last tsunami). Actually coming here and seeing the state of the reefs, I really feel that the Maldives govt is putting profit/tourism as the priority to nature. I know I am one of those contributing with this trip here.

Adding some final words after departing the resort:
- had in the last 2-3 days issues with the hot water in my room, however I keep forgetting and when I realized, it's too late and I just go under the luke warm water (helps in such a tropical heat). Other slight irrtance of the room was the air-con unit, sometimes when it automatically switches off when you open the balcony/terrace door, it really has difficulty to switch back on. Sometimes for hours.
- internet can be a hit/miss - even the usual TV options, can be a hit/miss from reception point.
- my host was not the most proactive one (and I did bring some small food stuff as a small gesture, and did pass it to him via another staff, did not hear a peep about it. Furthermore, no one really asked how was my stay.
- although the occupancy at the hotel is so low at this moment, really can't understand the principle the hotel holds to either not lower redemption points nor upgrade.
- quite terrible too that if they can't get you on the last flight out for late night departures, to dump you at the airport after that with a few hours to kill in the heat, is not quite the luxurious ending you expect.

Cheers!
