Etihad x Eurobonus SAS

Hello fellow travelers,

I have a trip booked in Z class on Etihad Airways with route CPH-AUH-PVG and return. This is a very occasional booking and I often fly with SAS, so I would like to claim extra points on Eurobonus through being a partner airline and then use those points for SAS flights instead. With that said, some said the only valid flight that will give me those extra points is CPH-AUH, since it is from Europe to Abu Dhabi. Is that the case? On the SAS website it doesn't specify this other than saying when you want to use points, you can use them on Europe to Abu Dhabi flights. Let me know, if not, I will probably claim my miles to FB instead. Thanks!
