Correct on the proper guarantee
1mileman , my mistake. I booked a 1 King vs the 2 double that I received and was told that there were no available Kings in the hotel. I've been working with Customer Service on this, but this seems to be a slow process even given the fact they can see what was reserved, what was given, and in theory know their policy. This doesn't rise to the 'I'm never staying with Bonvoy again' level for sure, but is mildly frustrating.
