Will Enterprise actually mark the car as returned on a day/time that the location is closed? When I've done similar with Avis and Hertz, they car is considered in your possession until they reopen and close the contract. They don't back-date the closing to when you (actually or said you would) drop off the car.
In our experience, Enterprise will typically only charge you up to your reserved rental return time, even if the location is closed at that time. This often means that you could theoretically schedule your return for 5pm Saturday, and not return until say late Sunday night if the location was closed, and you'd end up getting a free day out of it.
This contrasts with Hertz where they will charge you until they check the vehicle in when they re-open on Monday morning.
