Without the 'takent pool' available, all that happens is ba hires from the other baggage handling companies at lhr, who in turn drive up their salaries and hire these people back again and the cycle continues till people stop paying the increased ticket prices
Surely others - outside the baggage handling talent pool - would be attracted if the benefits of the role were attractive ? Its not like pilots, where there is a limited supply of potential candidates.
Clearly something seems to be working for others - ie QF, EK, UA - all appear to do well at Heathrow baggage handling so it is possible to do. Would require ££ though so BA at a distinct disadvantage!
