Hello, I am a newbie and hope someone can help me. We are a family and booked economy flight on AA6996 (operated by BA) from LHR to SFO on Fri 17th of may. Since reservating seats with BA is not cheap I did not reserve so far and was thinking on waiting for online checkin 24h before flight and reserving seats for free. Of course we (2 adults one teenager) would like to sit together (and as comfy as possible :-)..)
Do you think it is very risky to wait for that 24h window to get 3 seats together? I watched on expertflyer and the flight looks pretty empty so far, but I donīt know what to do?
Are those transatlantic flights normal (regularly) fully booked out, or is there a chanche that there will be empty spots, so booking AAXA in the middle would be clever (and hoping the X stays free)?
