Isn’t it more like “leaving a sunk ship for a sinking ship”?

I just came back from SEZ - spend 75k AA miles per person OW in QR Q Suites from the west coast. Lovely trip. I fully recognize that AA awards will sooner or later follow the lead of DL and UA, but for now I am earning and burning where I still receive some value. That is mostly flexible currencies and AA miles.
