Are you sure about MU going daily on LAX-PVG before UA? The first week of the NW 2024 schedule, I see MU flying LAX-PVG on SUN/MON/WED/FRI/SAT on their website. Regardless, that is still a shell of where Los Angeles to Shanghai traffic was back in 2019. I am aware of the Chinese airlines issues with flying their respective frequencies. I take UA ramping up LAX-PVG starting in August four times weekly as much to do with plane availability, with more planes available with the end of the summer travel season in October.
