We booked a "breakfast included" rate in advance last month for a one-night layover. I at least recall it being significantly less than the walk-up price. Nobody said it was 5-star but it was a good value for a completely presentable full English buffet. They even did some special cooking for my food-allergy spouse.
Would seriously consider the place if I was just tacking on a day or two in London or Windsor, and just commuting into town rather than moving hotels. (More nights than that is a different answer).
It has been several years since I stayed at the Sheraton just up Bath Road. Maybe a bit nicer then, but much harder to get to and from on a public transit bus. Almost too old for that with luggage but can still make it work for now. But we choose to pack light enough to do so.
