Deadline came and went but I got this email at the eleventh hour. Now we will see if I get a response by tomorrow. The airline has requested an extension for complaint ***********.

Airline answer deadline: The airline has until May 7, 2024 23:59 ET (4 additional calendar days) to review your complaint and provide information and/or documents to support its answer to the passenger. Airline answers received after the new deadline will not be accepted. If the airline does not provide an answer, the complaint will move to the eligibility step.

The request may be declined and the documents and information will not be accepted if:
  • the request is made after the deadline for filing an answer or a reply has already passed
  • the request is submitted outside of the eService Portal
  • the request does not include the reason the original deadline could not be met

Once the airline provides its answer the passenger will be notified.
