My SO is flying YOW-ORD-MCI tomorrow morning, the connection time is 58m. It's paid J booked on aircanada.com as codeshare flights, both flights UA operated. Can she/Should she be using the United app for those flights? Yes, she will check in with UA, and she can use the UA app for gate assignments, etc.
58m is not a particularly short connection in my book, although if she ends up needing to change terminals, she may benefit from a brisk stroll.
