This might become an issue for you in the future, there are examples of individuals who fail to complete accommodation registration on a trip who end up being denied visas or entry on subsequent trips, especially as it's now all computerised.

From my armchair point of view the intelligence to reconcile that you have failed to do accommodation registration isn't yet good enough that they catch your transgression as you try to exit China and give you a hard time due to missing overnight records, but it might come back to cause you a nuisance in future. As far as I know there is not a lot you can do
