Yeah, this makes sense. In truth, it's rare that I travel abroad for longer than two months at a time, so this shouldn't be an issue often if at all.

My bigger concern is on the first issue I mentioned: "After exceeding 10 GB/mo of high-speed international data, speeds reduced to up to 256 Kbps for the rest of your monthly billing cycle." This limit is reasonable, but does Verizon not offer a way, e.g. a TravelPass like option, to purchase additional high-speed data if you exceed this limit? Because otherwise you're stuck with a slow, nearly unusable phone every month if and when you exceed your limit, with nothing you can do about it with Verizon even if you're willing to pay. (Yes, you can purchase a local SIM at that point, but that sort of defeats the convenience of having the plan.)
