On 20 January BA Executive Club launched a
miles promotion via e-mail to European Executive Club members. The offer is valid from 20 January 2005 to 15 April 2005. Remark that you have to register at
www.ba.com/3flights before flying. Executive Club members resident in Ireland or UK did not receive the offer.
The BA Executive Club offer are 175,000 or 205,000 or 220,000 bonus miles depending on country of residence for 3 return flights with a BA prefix. An eligible flight includes BA operated, BA franchise operated services and code-share flights with a BA prefixed flight number. You have to fly in one of the booking classes F, A or J, C, D (Club World). Flights between LHR and TLV are excluded from this promotion. The bonus BA Miles are awarded in addition to BA Miles earned normally for flights under the Executive Club programme.
Here we go:
There is the legendary BAH-DOH-BAH in D class for £195. Or LDY-DUB-LDY in Club Class for £ 84. The LDY-DUB service is operated by Loganair with a BA prefixed flight number. A Dublin-Londonderry mileage run must be doable. Should this work the run will bring at least 175,000 + 4,500 miles for GBP 256 or 0.002 € per mile.
Now I live on the continent and I need to get to DUB first which adds cost. This leaves me to the question:
Is DUB-LDY-DUB the cheapest and / or most easy way to get the required 3 return flights in C for the match of up to 220,000 BA bonus miles?
