I don't know if this is simple but I'm hoping and will try here first. I've had to start using wheelchair assist, and I'm doing my first international arrival (on UA from ZRH in business). I can walk short distances but can't handle the long haul around the terminal.

GIven that this is international, how does this work? Still get picked up planeside? Do I need to wait for everyone to get off before (given thet I can use my cane to get down the aisle to the door.) Wheeled to pick up bag (I have a companion who can help) and through customs, etc?

My last international arrival at SFO was awful (long, crawling lines, a really nasty customs agent), so I'm just wondering what to expect from the more predictable parts of it.
