Just wanted to share a data point.

Currently have the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Ink Preferred. Both offer UR transfer abilities so I decided to product chage my Sapphire Preferred when the $95.00 annual fee hit 2 days ago.

Googled "Chase Product Change Original Freedom" to see if I could still product change to an OG Freedom Visa with 5X rotating categories.

Came across a couple Reddit posts that said to tell the rep to product change to "Chase Freedom with Ultimate Rewards"

I called customer service, waited 3 to 4 minites, verified my account, and told the rep I wanted to product change to "Chase Freedom with Ultimate Rewards," hoping that I wouldn't get stuck with the Freedom Flex or Freedom Unlimited. He read some terms, mentioning that the card number would stay the same but my expiration date and security code would change.

After the call, I logged out of my Chjase mobile app and logged back in. The last 4 of my card were the same, but the thumbnale graphic had changed from the Sapphire Preferred to the OG Visa Freedom. I immediatly activated the rotating 5X April-June categories on Amazon, hotels, and restaurants.

I now have 2 OG Visa Freedoms and 1 Freedom Flex Mastercard.
